The Dawning of The Awning

“We live in Britain, mate. We don’t need an awning”

Thirty years ago, awnings were almost unheard of, unless you lived in the South East of England, or owned a shop.

With the trend for more glass in homes on the increase, awnings are fast becoming a go-to product to keep the heat out of a room, and protect flooring and furnishings. Awnings also allow you to enjoy your garden in comfort, even when the sun is beating down.

The most popular models are patio awnings, covering the space immediately outside your window/ door. With a range of colours and designs, you can blend your awning in with your wall, decking or green garden.

Hardware comes in several colours to suit brickwork, and different models span widths comfortably from 2 metres to 9 metres before having to split.

If you have a garden you want to enjoy for longer - long, arm lights allow you to sit out well into the evening.

Motorisation is recommended, as it allows the addition of a wind sensor to automatically rewind the awning, if it gets too breezy.

For an idea on costs, bring in the approx. span you wish to cover, and have a chat with us.
